Search before you spend
Apollo.io's people search is free. You see the matches and choose who to enrich, so credits go only to people you want.
Quick answer
LeadGennie connects to Apollo.io with your own API key. Searching people is free; enriching the people you select reveals their work emails and is billed to your Apollo.io plan, not to LeadGennie credits. Imported leads go through LeadGennie's validation, dedupe and Do Not Contact checks, then into research and evidence-backed drafts.
What it helps with
Apollo.io's people search is free. You see the matches and choose who to enrich, so credits go only to people you want.
Personal emails and phone numbers are never requested or imported, and Apollo.io's placeholder addresses are skipped.
Set a cap per import, an optional monthly budget and the lowest role allowed to spend. LeadGennie records the credits Apollo.io reports for each batch.
How it works
A workspace admin adds an Apollo.io API key. LeadGennie checks it can search, then stores it encrypted; it is never shown again.
Filter by title, seniority, location, company website, technology, keyword or company size, and pick the people to enrich.
Selected people are enriched in batches of 10 and imported; a retry never pays twice for a finished batch. Research and drafting start from there.

Questions
No. Apollo.io bills enrichment to your own Apollo.io plan. LeadGennie credits are used only for the work LeadGennie does afterwards, such as researching a lead or personalizing a draft.
Yes, if an admin allows it. The agent can propose an Apollo.io search as part of a plan; the step is marked as using your Apollo.io credits and runs only after you approve the plan.
People linked to an earlier Apollo.io import are recognised before enrichment. Anyone added another way is caught by the import's dedupe, so a lead is never duplicated.
LeadGennie helps your team turn context into a clear next step.
